Abstract
Adopting an interdisciplinary approach drawing from film, fashion and cultural studies, this article examines the in8ersectional representation of the gendered dynamics of power, status and authority in Fernando Le¨®n de Aranoa's 2021 Goya award winning corporate satire El buen patr¨®n (The Good Boss). Through the close visual analysis of the costuming by designer Fernando Garc¨ªa, we argue that dressing, undressing, and redressing function to visualise the ways that the illusionary stability of patriarchal power is constructed, destabilised and reconfigured in the shifting social contexts of contemporary post-Franco Spanish culture.
