Abstract
This paper explores efficacy of 4E (embodied, embedded, extended, and enacted) urban Chinese assemblages by engineer an encounter between the Chinese concept of shi (势) – described by sinologist- philosopher Fran?ois Julien as the “inherent potentiality at work in configuration” – and that of cinematicty, wherein the cinematic-city is recognised as an affectively pre-charged site/sight.
